Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before engaging Delta Roofing Auckland for any roofing services.

Last updated: 16 May 2025  ·  Effective: 16 May 2025

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of roofing services by Delta Roofing Auckland ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the client", "you"). By requesting a quote, accepting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Quotations and Acceptance

1.1 All quotations provided by Delta Roofing Auckland are free of charge and carry no obligation.

1.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.

1.3 A quote is accepted when you provide written or verbal confirmation and a deposit (where applicable) has been received.

1.4 Quotations are based on information available at the time of inspection. If additional work is identified once work has commenced, we will notify you and provide a variation quote before proceeding.

2. Pricing and Payment

2.1 All prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

2.2 A deposit of up to 30% of the total quoted price may be required prior to commencement of work.

2.3 The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work, unless a payment schedule has been agreed in writing.

2.4 Invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date. Overdue accounts may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

2.5 Payment may be made by bank transfer, credit card, or another method agreed upon at the time of quoting.

2.6 Delta Roofing Auckland reserves the right to suspend or cease work if payment is not received in accordance with these terms.

3. Scope of Work

3.1 Work will be carried out as described in the accepted quotation. Any additional work outside the original scope requires a signed variation agreement.

3.2 We reserve the right to subcontract any part of the work to qualified tradespeople. We remain responsible for the quality and completion of all subcontracted work.

3.3 You are responsible for ensuring safe and unobstructed access to the work area, including removal of vehicles, garden furniture, and any obstructions below the roofline.

4. Warranties and Guarantees

4.1 Delta Roofing Auckland provides a workmanship warranty on all completed roofing work. The warranty period will be specified in your quotation or completion certificate.

4.2 Product warranties are those provided by the respective manufacturers and are separate from our workmanship warranty.

4.3 Warranties are void if the roof is modified, repaired, or inspected by a third party without our prior written consent, or if damage results from events outside our control (including storms, earthquakes, or acts of third parties).

4.4 Our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Building Act 2004 are unaffected by these terms.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

5.1 You may cancel a confirmed booking by giving at least 48 hours' notice prior to the scheduled start date. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover mobilisation costs.

5.2 We reserve the right to reschedule work due to adverse weather conditions, unsafe site conditions, or circumstances outside our control. We will notify you as soon as practicable.

5.3 If a deposit has been paid and work is cancelled by us (other than due to your default), your deposit will be refunded in full.

6. Health, Safety and Site Responsibilities

6.1 Delta Roofing Auckland operates in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. All team members hold relevant safety certifications.

6.2 You agree to maintain a safe environment around the work site and to keep children and pets away from the work area during all phases of work.

6.3 You must inform us of any known hazards on your property prior to commencement, including but not limited to asbestos, electrical risks, or structural concerns.

7. Insurance

7.1 Delta Roofing Auckland holds current public liability insurance. Details are available on request.

7.2 We are not liable for pre-existing damage to your property, nor for damage caused by events outside our control including weather events, structural failure unrelated to our work, or third-party actions.

7.3 You are responsible for ensuring your property insurance is adequate and current during the period of our works.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with the services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific work giving rise to the claim.

8.2 We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from our work or from delays in completing work.

9. Disputes

9.1 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation.

9.2 If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute may be referred to the Disputes Tribunal or a court of competent jurisdiction in New Zealand.

9.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

10. Changes to These Terms

10.1 We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued engagement of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
